• 2004 through 2006: doctoral dissertation (in parallel to working full-time with DuPont) about „Evaluation of new and established halftone screens and their suitability for Flexographic printing with digitally imaged photopolymer printing plates” at the Moscow State University of Graphic Arts
• October 2008 – (present): professorship for package printing at the Hochschule der Medien (HdM), Stuttgart, in the degree program of packaging technology
• January 2019 – (present): Director and General Manager of DFTA Technology Center, Stuttgart, Germany
