Keynote
Speaker: Kaida Xiao
Dr. Kaida Xiao received his PhD in Colour Science from the Colour and Imaging Institute, the
University of Derby. He worked in Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, the University of
Sheffield, the University of Liverpool and is now a University Academic Fellow in the University of
Leeds. He is National representative of Great Brain for CIE Division 8 (Image technology) and
Technical Committee chair for CIE TC 1-92 (skin colour database) and CIE TC 8-17 (methods
to evaluate colour difference between 3D colour objects). He is a member of editorial board
for Color Research and Application.
Main research area: 3D colour image reproduction, 3D colour printing, skin image capture and
analysis, colour appearance modelling.
